Silver Age Seattle
Extradimensional alien mastermind from the DC Comics universe.
What Gate World’s (Earth Prime’s) super wiki has to say about him:
“An extraterrestrial android (in most incarnations), Brainiac is a principal foe of Superman, and is responsible for shrinking and stealing Kandor, the capital city of Superman’s home planet Krypton. Due to complex storylines involving time travel, cloning, and revisions of DC’s continuity, several variations of Brainiac have appeared. Most incarnations of Brainiac depict him as a green-skinned being in humanoid form. He is bald, except for a set of diodes protruding from his skull.
The character is the origin of the informal word which means ‘genius’. The name itself is a portmanteau of the words brain and maniac, with influence from ENIAC, the name of an early computer. In 2009, Brainiac was ranked as IGN’s 17th Greatest Comic Book Villain of All Time."
What S.P.E.C.T.R.U.M. has to say about him:
Brainiac is one of the most feared and problematic villains that we have come across so far. His supposed power level seems so far beyond the scope of our capabilities that it is sometimes difficult to see the light past the clouds of destruction and chaos that the super genius is capable producing. Each of us has a reason to get rid of him, either by kicking him out of our realm or doing away with him for good. Every other villain that we have come across so far has been someone that we have been able to confront head on, but he continues to use proxies and distractions that get in our way. It is unlikely that we mean anything to him, even though he seems to target us directly.
